R7515 Cartridge Replacement
Preparation:Shut water supply to the faucet off: Important: Turn off the water supply at the faucet before starting. You can either turn off the main supply to the house or close the shut-off valves if the faucet is equipped with them. Then open the faucet again to empty it of residual water. Failure to do so could result in flooding or injury. Handle Removal: |
Locate Allen set screw on bottom-side of handle end. Using a 2.5mm Allen key, rotate counterclockwise to loosen set screw. You do not need to fully remove. | |
Once the set screw is loose, unthread the decorative collar and pull handle & collar away from faucet (handle and collar will remove as one piece). |
Cartridge Removal: |
Using a large crescent wrench, rotate brass cartridge nut counterclockwise to loosen and continue removal by hand. Flush lines to ensure all residual particles and/or debris is alleviated. |
Cartridge Installation: |
Align the two tabs on underside of new cartridge, with the two tab inlets in the faucet cavity and insert cartridge. By hand, rotate brass cartridge nut (not shown in image) clockwise to tighten. Using a large crescent wrench, rotate a ¼ turn, and turn on water to test. If a leak occurs, continue with ¼ turns until leak subsides. Do not over-tighten cartridge nut. Reinstall handle in reverse steps. |
