C3009D35 Cartridge Replacement Instructions
For model/s: A3650, A3650WS, A3650/6.5, A3650/6.5WS, A3650/11, A3650/11WS
Tools Needed: Philips head screwdriver & Large Crescent Wrench
Reason/s for replacing cartridge:
**If you do not have an issue with the following, please contact Customer Service 800-777-9762**
- Stiff movement on & off and/or hot & cold
- In the off position, water drips from spout
Shut water supply to the faucet off: Important: Turn off the water supply at the faucet before starting. You can either turn off the main supply to the house or close the shut-off valves if the faucet is equipped with them. Then open the faucet again to empty it of residual water. Failure to do so could result in flooding or injury.
Lever Removal: |
Unthread finished nut from faucet body, counterclockwise.

Pry finished cover cap away from handle assembly. To loosen handle assembly for removal; use a Phillips screwdriver to rotate screw located inside handle assembly counterclockwise. |
Rotate finished nut counterclockwise to loosen and pull handle assembly with finished nut off of cartridge stem.

Cartridge Removal: |
Using a large Crescent Wrench, locate two flat sides on the brass cartridge nut and unthread counterclockwise. |
Remove cartridge. |
Cartridge Replacement: |
Install new cartridge by aligning the two pins at the base of the cartridge with the two open slots on the faucet body. Tighten brass cartridge nut by hand and then another quarter turn using a large Crescent Wrench. Test new cartridge before installing handle assembly. If leak occurs, continue tightening the brass cartridge nut, quarter turn at a time, until the leak subsides. Over-tightening the brass cartridge nut could cause damage to the cartridge; quarter turn method is recommended. Install handle assembly in reverse. |
