C3009: Cartridge Replacement Instructions
Problem: The control lever is working smoothly but the faucet is still leaking. Solution: Replace the mixing cartridge. |
Tools Required:
Preparation: Turn off water supply either at the main line or from underneath the sink |

1. Remove the plug (1). |

2. Use a 3 mm. allen wrench and loosen the control lever set screw (2), and remove the lever. |

3. Remove the ring nut cover cap (3). |

4. Screw out and remove the ring nut (4) which fastens the cartridge. |

5. Remove the mixing cartridge (5). |

6. Assemble the new cartridge (5) into the single-lever mixer body, making sure that it will be correctly place as per figure. Reassemble the mixer and tighten the ring nut (4) which fastens the cartridge by a 16 +/- Nm torque; then check if it works well. |
It is recommended to hand tighten the cartridge nut as much as possible. Using a large, or adjustable crescent wrench, give the cartridge nut a quarter turn clockwise to reinforce and test for leaks. If a leak occurs, continue with a quarter turn method until the leak subsides. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. |
