How to replace a cartridge in a thermostatic freestanding tub filler
Preparation: |
Important: Turn off the water supply to the tap before starting. This faucet is not equipped with shut-off valves, so you'll need to turn off the main water supply to the house. Then open the faucet again to empty it of residual water. Failure to do so could result in flooding or injury.

Step 2: Unscrew the retaining nut |
Models with O-ring O-ring locations should they fall out. Hold in place with a little plumber's grease |
Models without O-ring

Step 3: Pull out cartridge, clean and install new cartridge |

Inspect cartridge seat, remove debris and/or blue gasket and, if necessary, clean with a 1/2 vinegar 1/2 water solution and a soft bristle brush. |

Insert the new cartridge ensuring that the 2 position pins are aligned with the 2 position holes on the seat
|
Step 4: Reassemble |
Screw the retaining nut back on and reassemble the handles in reverse order. |
