9.13362 Diverter Instructions

 Changing the 9.13362 diverter on A (Column Spout) and B (C-Spout) style faucets

 
 
Tools Required:

Crescent Wrench or a 2MM Allen Key and Needlenose Pliers

Preparation:

Shut water supply to the faucet off: Important: Turn off the water supply at the faucet before starting. You can either turn off the main supply to the house or close the shut-off valves if the faucet is equipped with them. Then open the faucet again to empty it of residual water. Failure to do so could result in flooding or injury.

Step 1.  Remove the spout and diverter from the faucet body.

a. Traditional spout (A) faucets will require removal of decorative spike (A) from the top with a crescent wrench and a soft cloth. Then lift off spout (B). Using a screwdriver inserted into (C) turn counterclockwise. Then use the wrench to unscrew (D) counterclockwise and lift diverter out with a needle nose pliers.

b. spout style (B) will require a 2MM Allen Key to remove set screw from spout base (A)by turning counterclockwise and then pull up on spout by hand to remove. Use needlenose pliers to lift out diverter

Step 2. Flush the water lines.

Step 3. Insert new pre-greased diverter by hand or a needlenose. Apply extra water soluble grease to the diverter if necessary.

Step.4 Re-install the spout. For (A) faucets, follow directions above in reverse,being careful when tightening down the decorative spike not to scratch the finish. For (B) faucets, line up plastic washer at the spout base so the hole in the washer is aligned with the hole in the base of faucet. Securely tighten the set screw.
