9.13157 Diverter Instructions
CHANGING THE PERRIN & ROWE® 9.13157 DIVERTER ON THE IFF FAUCETS
Tools Required:2mm Allen key, needle nose pliers, and adjustable crescent wrench. Preparation:Shut water supply to the faucet off: Important: Turn off the water supply at the faucet before starting. You can either turn off the main supply to the house or close the shut-off valves if the faucet is equipped with them. Then open the faucet again to empty it of residual water. Failure to do so could result in flooding or injury. |
1. Using 2mm Allen key, remove the spout from the body by rotating set screw on back of spout counterclockwise. |
2. Using crescent wrench, turning counterclockwise, remove the decorative finial from the spout.(be careful to protect the finish on the finial and spout). |
3. Remove the aerator from the end of the spout and pull it off the plastic tube by hand. |
4. Pull spout apart to reveal inner tube. |
5. At the bottom of the spout, use needle nose pliers to remove the plastic brace by gripping and pulling outwards. |
6. Use needle nose pliers to pull the diverter out of the bottom of the spout. |
7. Pull old diverter off inner tube. Lubricate new diverter and install onto inner tube. Push inner tube and new diverter back into the bottom of the spout. |
8. Push the top of the spout back onto the inner tube, and back into the ball of the spout |
9. Using needle nose pliers, grasp the inner tube from the end of the spout and pull down. Reinsert aerator. |
10. Reassemble spout. Make sure to line up top washer with hole with set screw to seal properly. Turn set screw clockwise with 2mm Allen key to tighten and secure spout. |
