MB1933 and MB1935 Diverter Replacement

Tools needed:
Shut water supply to the faucet off: Important: Turn off the water supply at the faucet before starting. You can either turn off the main supply to the house or close the shut-off valves if the faucet is equipped with them. Then open the faucet again to empty it of residual water. Failure to do so could result in flooding or injury. |
Instruction: |
1. Remove diverter knob from the back of the spout. |
2. Using a 2.5mm Allen Wrench remove the set screw on the back side of the faucet |
3. Pull the tub spout out of the deck escutcheon. |
4. Using the smooth-jawed Channel Lock pliers remove the diverter plug. |
5. Pull the diverter assembly out of the bottom of the tub spout. Remove the spring from the old diverter rod, and place it on the new diverter rod. |
6. Using a 5mm Allen Wrench remove the diverter stem. |
7. Pull the O-Ring out of the tub spout and replace it if necessary. |
8.. Replace your old diverter with the new one provided and insert it into the spout. To reassemble the unit follow the directions in reverse order. |
