Preparation: |
Tools needed: pliers
Skill Level/Time: Easy. About 15 Minutes
Instruction: |
This is the complete LS650C pump with the escutcheon base. |
1) Take part (A) out of the escutcheon (B) by pulling upwards with steady even force by hand. Note that the base (B) should stay connected to the counter and a straw, not shown, will be connected to the bottom of the pump assembly. Remove the straw and set aside. No need to disassemble (B) to get to pump. |
2) Unscrew the bottom part of the pump from the top that includes the pump-head, by rotating counterclockwise.
|
3) Pull the plastic pump cap out of the brass pump-head and discard. Note: a pair of pliers may be needed to remove pump from top.
|
4) Take the new pump assembly (LS550AP), and unscrew the top part from the bottom, as in step number 2.
|
5) Push the button cap of the pump assembly into the button cap holder in the brass pump-head.
|
5a) Pushing it together will be easier by placing the pump assembly on a smooth surface and then push the pump-head down onto the pump assembly by hand. |
6) Take bottom portion of pump assembly and screw back on to the top part of the pump assembly by rotating clockwise by hand. Make sure that the spring is inside (larger end turned down). |
7) Connect straw, not shown, to the bottom or the pump assembly and re-insert into the escutcheon on the counter. |
Note: It may take up to 50 pump presses to activate or prime the soap dispenser.
