A: HRK-2000 Flex hose 1/4" tube B: HRK-2000 Compression Nut C: HRK-2000 Compression Olive Sleeve D: Faucet Mounting Threaded Rod |
Explanation |
This is a solution provided to connect the HRK-2000 to a filtration faucet threaded rod if you cannot use the filtration system push fit connectors. This will connect the filtration flex hose directly into the threaded rod and it requires the Flex Hose 1/4" tube to be cut.
The end of the HRK-2000 Flex hose tube (indicated by the red arrow) is about .25mm larger than the middle of the tube. |
For that reason, the tube, if not cut, will not fit in the faucet threaded mounting rod as shown above. |
Instructions |
Step 1: Slide off the compression Olive sleeve and nut from the HRK-2000 flex hose tube. |
Step 2: With a pipe cutter or similar tool, cut the larger end tip of the tube. **Make sure you don't cut too much, as you need to leave enough tube length to be able to reinstall the Compression Nut and Olive Sleeve. |
Step 3: The cut must be square to prevent leaks. Use sandpaper to file pipe edges. |
Step 4: Test it to make sure the cut-off tube fits into the Faucet Mounting Threaded rod. |
Step 5: Assemble by sliding the Compression Nut first on the cut tube, followed by the Compression Olive Sleeve. Tighten the Compression Nut to make a seal and test for leaks. |
