-
Remove all components from the packaging.
-
Apply a generous amount of plumber's putty (not included and must be supplied by the installer) to the underside of the drain flange (escutcheon).
-
Insert the drain flange into the sink drain opening.
- Discard the foam ring provided with the drain assembly.
-
From underneath the sink, install the following components in order:
- Large conical rubber gasket (push upward against the underside of the sink)
- White nylon friction washer
- Mounting nut
-
While keeping the drain body centered and straight in the drain opening, tighten the mounting nut.
- Tightening the nut compresses the plumber's putty and creates a watertight seal.
-
Thread the horizontal pop-up assembly onto the bottom of the drain body.
- Ensure the clear nylon sealing ring is installed between the horizontal pop-up assembly and the drain threads.
-
Install the lower drain tailpiece.
- Apply Teflon tape to the threads to help prevent leaks.
-
Connect the P-trap assembly.
-
Remove any excess plumber's putty from the sink bowl.
-
Install the stopper.
- As the stopper is inserted, remove the horizontal pivot rod retaining nut.
- Guide the pivot rod into the hole on the bottom of the stopper.
- Reinstall the retaining nut.
Important: Do not overtightened the retaining nut, as this may cause the pivot rod to operate stiffly or bind during use.
