Functioning of upper handle (5) (5) This handle controls the flow of the valve’s main exit only. To turn on the water, turn the handle to the left
Functioning of the lower handle (6) (6) This handle controls the water temperature.During the installation, the plumber should have made sure the temperature of the cartridge was adjusted correctly. You will be able to confirm this has been done properly if the handle blocks when the push button (7) is facing upwards (at noon) and the water is at the desired temperature. |
For colder temperature: |
Turn the lower handle to the right (clockwise). |
For warmer temperature: |
Press the push button (7) and turn the handle to the left (counterclockwise). |
Multiple Device Systems: |
If you have a shower with several components (shower head, tub spout, body jet, etc.), a volume control must be installed for each component. This way, you'll be able to operate one, two or all three components at the same time, or individually, depending on which volume control handle you open. For example, in the drawing above, the shower head (1) is controlled by the upper handle (5) of the main valve, while the hand shower rail (2) is controlled by the handle of the volume control elbow (3). To operate the shower head and hand shower rail at the same time, handles 5 and 3 must be activated simultaneously. Alternatively, you can operate the hand shower rail (2) only by turning the volume control on the volume control elbow (3). |
