Bistro-Leaks at the spring-bar connection

 

 

 

 

This article explains how to tighten the nylon hose on the hand shower if the faucet leaks at the intersection of the horizontal bar and the spring.

Preparation:

Important: Turn off the water supply at the faucet before starting. You can either turn off the main supply to the house or close the shut-off valves if the faucet is equipped with them. Then open the faucet again to empty it of residual water. Failure to do so could result in flooding or injury. 

  • Recommended tools: Adjustable wrench.
Instruction:

 

1. Pull the spring up the hose to release the nuts.

2. Unscrew the brass safety nut.

3. Tighten the hexagonal nut.

4 . Tighten the brass safety nut. (step 2)
