U.4044 Cartridges Instructions
Tools Required: 2mm Allen Key & Large Crescent Wrench- Shut water supply to the faucet off: Important: Turn off the water supply at the faucet before starting. You can either turn off the main supply to the house or close the shut-off valves if the faucet is equipped with them. Then open the faucet again to empty it of residual water. Failure to do so could result in flooding or injury. |
Handle Removal: |

Locate the 2MM Allen Set Screw at the back of the handle | ![]() |
Using a 2MM Allen Key, rotate the set screw counter-clockwise to loosen (you do not need to fully disengage set screw). Once loose, pull handle away from faucet body and remove. | ![]() |
Cartridge Removal: |

Using a large crescent wrench, gently grasp two sides of the decorative collar, and rotate counter-clockwise to loosen. Continue rotating the decorative collar by hand until fully removed. | ![]() |
Pull cartridge out of faucet body. | ![]() |
Cartridge Replacement: |

Upon installing the replacement cartridge, flush out supply lines, and cartridge chamber to ensure all residual debris is alleviated. Align two tabs with two tab inlets inside cartridge chamber, and push cartridge in place. Follow steps in reverse to re-install handle. | ![]() |
