Finishes Perrin and Rowe:Unlacquered Brass (ULB)

​DESCRIPTION OF FINISH

Unlacquered Brass is a raw brass that is polished and left unlacquered allowing for natural aging over time. Often referred to as a "living finish", unlacquered brass will take on a patina that will vary with exposure to sun, touch, oxygen and other airborne particles. It will age unevenly.

CLEANING

Pat dry after use to avoid hard water spots. Clean using liquid soap and water or a 50/50 solution of water and white vinegar.  Do not soak the fixture in the vinegar solution or allow the vinegar solution to soak on the finish

MAINTAINING

Protect by using Flitz Wax or Bruno's Faucet Wax. Apply by patting on and off. Do not rub or buff.

OUTSIDE USE

Perrin & Rowe products may be used outside. However, we do not offer a warranty. Use these tips for a successful installation. Polished Chrome is the most durable finish and is the best finish for outside installation. Pat dry after use to avoid hard water spots. If mineral or salt are accumulating on the fixture, clean by applying a 50/50 solution of water and white vinegar, then pat dry. Do not soak the fixture in the vinegar solution or allow the vinegar solution to soak on the finish. Spray weekly with fresh water, wipe dry and apply Flitz Wax or Bruno's Faucet Wax to avoid hard water spotting. If in freezing temperatures, winterize the fixtures by removing the cartridges, drain all water or store fixtures indoors.
