Finishes Perrin and Rowe:Satin Nickel (STN)

​DESCRIPTION OF FINISH

The same composition as Polished Nickel, Satin Nickel is a composition of nickel plating over copper on brass that has been artistically brushed. This finish may also be referred to as brushed nickel.

CLEANING

Pat dry after use to avoid hard water spots. Clean using liquid soap and water or a 50/50 solution of water and white vinegar.  Do not soak the fixture in the vinegar solution or allow the vinegar solution to soak on the finish

MAINTAINING

Polish by applying Gagnon's SX. Remove black or white spots, mineral deposits and tarnish marks by lightly brushing the finish using a Scotch Brite pad and water.  Protect by applying Flitz Wax or Bruno's Faucet Wax. Brush in the same direction as in the faucet.

OUTSIDE USE

Perrin & Rowe products may be used outside. However, we do not offer a warranty. Use these tips for a successful installation. Polished Chrome is the most durable finish and is the best finish for outside installation. Pat dry after use to avoid hard water spots. If mineral or salt are accumulating on the fixture, clean by applying a 50/50 solution of water and white vinegar, then pat dry. Do not soak the fixture in the vinegar solution or allow the vinegar solution to soak on the finish. Spray weekly with fresh water, wipe dry and apply Flitz Wax or Bruno's Faucet Wax to avoid hard water spotting. If in freezing temperatures, winterize the fixtures by removing the cartridges, drain all water or store fixtures indoors.
