10741 Cartridge Replacement Instructions
Preparation: |
- Shut water supply to the faucet off: Important: Turn off the water supply at the faucet before starting. You can either turn off the main supply to the house or close the shut-off valves if the faucet is equipped with them. Then open the faucet again to empty it of residual water. Failure to do so could result in flooding or injury.
Tools: |
- Large Crescent wrench, 3/32” standard allen wrench or 5/64” standard allen wrench

Cartridge Removal: |
Place a large crescent wrench on the hex sides of the cartridge nut and rotate counterclockwise to remove |
Pull out cartridge from the faucet body by hand. Flush out the supplies to ensure there is no blockage |
Insert the replacement cartridge, aligning the two pins on the bottom of the cartridge with the two slots in the brass body. Rotating clockwise, tighten the cartridge nut. Start by hand and then use a large crescent wrench. Test for leaks. If a leak occurs, using the crescent wrench, continue rotating the cartridge nut clockwise, ¼ turn at a time, until the leak subsides. |
Attach the cover cap so that the handle dome insert is inserted correctly, grooved side out toward the hole in the handle dome (red outline shows groove). Install lever in reverse. |
