Instructions for Replacement of the Diverter Actuator C7005
During operation: When the control lever is working smoothly, but the faucet still leaks, replace the mixing cartridge as follows.

Preparation

 Tools needed

  • 3mm Allen wrench
  • Large or adjustable crescent wrench

Shut water supply to the faucet off: Important: Turn off the water supply at the faucet before starting. You can either turn off the main supply to the house or close the shut-off valves if the faucet is equipped with them. Then open the faucet again to empty it of residual water. Failure to do so could result in flooding or injury.

Reassemble the mixer and tighten the ring nut (4) which fastens the cartridge by a 16 +/- 1 Nm torque; then check if it works well. Snag_140a6bb.png

The diverter actuator - C7005 - is underneath the cartridge.

It appears a white ring in the bottom of the cavity.

Use needle nose pliers or the removal screw (sometimes included) to screw into the middle of the metal piston.

Pull straight up to remove.

Clean the area, wipe dry and then push the new diverter actuator into place (before the assembling, lubricate the diverter with a grease).

Reassemble the mixer and tighten the ring nut (4).

Check for leaks.
