Salome-Zendo open spout - cleaning or replacing the flow reducer
This article explains how to clean and remove the flow reducer in the Salome and Zendo open spout single holes models, when you have low flow issue. |
Preparation: |
Important: Turn off the water supply at the faucet before starting. You can either turn off the main supply to the house or close the shut-off valves if the faucet is equipped with them. Then open the faucet again to empty it of residual water. Failure to do so could result in flooding or injury.
- Recommended tools: 2.5mm allen key, long-nose pliers, wood screw (to be used if necessary to remove the flow reducer, see step 6).
Instructions: |
These instructions show how to remove the handle of a single-hole faucet from the Salomé collection. If this is not your faucet model and you don't have your faucet part's page to guide you, please visit https://fr.houseofrohl.ca/ or contact us. |
Additional information: If in step 6 you cannot remove the flow restrictor with the pliers, you can screw a wood screw in and pull it out. Note that it will then be broken and you will not be able to reuse it. If you need to install a new flow reducer, insert it so that you can see the o-ring once it is in. Important: You must have a flow reducer in an open spout faucet, otherwise water will be sprayed over the sink. |
