KM Best Practices

Objective: To deepen your understanding of Knowledge Management and enable you to apply it more effectively in your day-to-day work.

Using Quotation Marks also referred to as brackets (“ ”)

Adding quotation marks also referred to as brackets (“ ”) around the model number helps narrow and refine search results.

Example: “LK101”

Applying Filters

Use the Classification Filters to further refine your search. Multiple selections may be applied.

Navigating with Breadcrumbs

You can use breadcrumbs to track your navigation path from the Knowledge Management (KM) home page to your current page. Breadcrumbs show each step taken along the way.

Example:
Home Page → Perrin and Rowe → Shower Systems → 3/4" Exposed Thermostatic Wall Mount System – 19 → Edwardian → U.5373N and U.5373NLS → Overview

Using Effective Search Terms

To enhance search efficiency, we recommend refining your search terms and leveraging filters, rather than repeating the same keywords. This approach often leads to faster and more accurate results.

When to Contact Coach

If the information cannot be located right away, avoid spending extended time searching while the client is on hold. Staying mindful of efficiency and knowing when to reach out for support helps ensure a smooth and positive client experience.
