Tuscan Brass: The Beauty of a True Living Finish

The finishing touch of every ROHL faucet is its exquisite surface. Each finish conveys the experience of authentic luxury through a distinctively soft, warm, genuine feel in comparison to other products made with synthetic coatings.

Tuscan Brass and French Brass

The ROHL Tuscan Brass and French Brass finishes differ from other ROHL faucet finishes. These finishes are “living finishes.” This means the character of the finish will develop and lighten over time depending on how the customer uses and maintains the faucet. Therefore, our standard limited lifetime warranty does not apply to either finish. Unlacquered Brass and Satin Unlacquered Brass are also living finishes.

Maintaining the Experience of Authentic Luxury

To clean Tuscan Brass and French Brass, use mild soap and water or a 50/50 vinegar/water solution. Do not scrub or wipe the surface. Any use of cleansers that contain either abrasive or corrosive elements, such as ammonia, will negatively affect the finish. Never soak any faucet in vinegar and water. This action will damage the finish.

Although wax is applied at the factory to protect the finish as created, this protection will wear away over time and must be maintained if you wish to preserve the original dark tone. Typically, parts of the faucet handled on a daily basis, such as handles, handspray, or a spout that swivels, will begin to lighten. Do not rub or buff.
